Pregnancy Related Issues
Regardless of how early on a miscarriage may occur, the loss of a cherished child is devastating. Often, there are too many unanswered questions with too few answers.
Couples confronted with the death of their child, whether due to miscarriage, still-birth, pre-mature birth, medical issues, or trauma, often retract from one another in an attempt to cope with their own pain and brokenness. Many times they are keenly aware of one another’s pain but there seems to be no right words that can comfort or ease the sorrow and heartache. Neither may feel they have the strength to support the other and are often uncertain of what their spouse expects or needs from them.
With unspoken needs and unknown expectations, communication can be stifled to a silent understanding and awareness of the pain. The Center for Family & Crisis Counseling is committed to helping women, couples, and families who have experienced pregnancy related grief and loss.
